Located at 145 km point on N-625 road in Santillan, it is a stop for a lot of neighbours and tourists. It is a little nucleus of services: consulting room, bank, pharmacy, Asociación de mayores gathering point and bakery.

La Ruta is located some metres away from the bridge that leads to Ponga council:
it is a place where everyone is well received, anytime. From an early breakfast to a delicious, home-made meal and even the afternoon lunch, everything is cooked in the traditional way of Amieva; a good proof is the variety of products Maruja and her family displays:sausages, cider, Beyos cheese, fabes...eveything is ready to take for the excursion or to take home. Their friendly treatment and the home-made taste makes a second visit a must.
La Ruta Restaurant takes part in all the gastronomic events Picos de Europa region offers, as the Pig-killing Gastronomic menu that takes place all weekends in February. Check in advance is strongly recommended.
